Since I was a child I loved classical music instruments and music. I bought my first classical music tape when I was 10 years old. It was Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony conducted by Bernard Haitink. I remember the shopkeeper asking me "do you really listen to this?" as he was surprised that a child likes classical music. I did not fully understand it at that age because it is important to play an instrument to appreciate the intricate details.

My parents did not have a clue about music at all. In fact my father hated is so much that he punished me for mentioning music. I remember him saying "I do not want my son to be a busker". Even today if you ask my mother if I play any instruments or am interested in music she would not know. So I used to sneak out to a friends house who had a piano to just play for few minutes. I really was passionate and if I had any backing or access to a piano I would definitly be very good at it now. It is important to start playing at very early age, specially piano.

When I got some money I bought a cheap flute at the age of 20 and taught myself to sight-read. Unfortunately my life was so chaotic that I could not practice and I lived in bedsites for years while I was a student.

When eventually settled down in a flat I bought few instruments and learnt them all. I can now sight-read seven instruments and have learnt the theory. However, I do not have time to practice at all, so I only play to have a break. Perhaps 20 minutes a day if I am lucky.

If I had to go back and choose an instrument and master it, it would be the flamenco guitar. I love Flamenco music. The only problem is my hands are too small for guitar and need a lot of practice to master it. Also I have to grow my nails for it and that causes a problem when playing the piano.

I have recorded few very easy peices so there is something to show the public. They are not good at all as I get so nervous playing while recording. When I get the chance I will record some descent ones.
