I have always been a very emotional and romantic person by heart. Romance is rapidly becoming a dying art and not many people care about it or have experienced it unfortunately. In my opinion youngster are so pressured to be independent, especially girls, that they find it very unnatural to be romantic. After all, romance is all about selflessness and sacrifice. So by the time they mature they become too rough for the subtleness of romance to take hold and grow. I realized that poetry is the best way to keep this art alive without having to interact with people. It puts people in situations that they hardly experience and makes them think what they miss. So I am doing my share of keeping this ancient art alive by my limited ability to express my feeling. Don't forget that English is not my first language.

When I was 20 I started writing one poem on every Valentine Day for someone who on that year meant more than anyone else to me. The poems are only a work of art and meant to be romantic but not personal, so they do not reflect my real experiences.

I miss you

You are so far away, yet I feel you around

I close my eyes, all I hear is your sound

I am lost in emptiness with only your memory

My Eden turned into a desert, now I am the only tree

I miss you so much I can't raise my head

It's so hard to go on, I wish I was dead

You came and went without saying goodbye

I keep asking myself why o why?

I gave you all, what did I do wrong?

Every day I serenaded you with a love song

Everything I earned was for your sake

I kept strong and ignored the ache

I exchanged my tears for your smiles

For every step you took for me I ran miles

You remember when we met on that starry night?

I saw your beauty glow under the moonlight

Then I gently put my arms around your hips

And for the first time, I kissed your lips

Remember that rainy day on valentine?

All I cared in life was that you were mine

All I see is you every time I blink

You are the only thing on my mind when I think

You were my life, dream and hope

Without you I am so lonely, I cannot cope

I hope one day you will come back again

If not, my life has wasted in vain

I'll look for you forever and will never keep still

Because I loved you ... and I always will

A Dream That Never Came True

I never forget the first time I saw you

I wanted nothing but to be with you

I suddenly felt alone in a wide empty world

Without you everything was dull and cold

I longed everyday to catch your sight

When I did, you set my heart alight

Your touch is like summer rain

Caressing my soul, soothing the pain

Your voice is songs from paradise

Seeing you walk makes me mesmerize

I melt away when you smile at me

Your eyes are like a big blue sea

You are so beautiful and so smart

That's how you stole my heart

I was so much in love, love is blind

whatever you did I didn't mind

I gave you all, with all my heart

But you never seemed to care, from the start

Now it's ended before it began

Since in your eyes I am not a real man

Now I know that you'll never be mine

So goodbye and farewell my dear valentine.

I Wish You Were Mine

Never mind who I'm and why

I'm just an old romantic guy

Even though I am nothing in your eye

I couldn't let this day go by

I want to let you know just one thing

To my life of the joys you bring

I've never seen a girl so nice

Pure as flakes of ice

your beauty is beyond belief

You've stolen my heart like a thief

Your eyes pierce through my heart

Like the Eros with golden dart

When you hold my hand you burn me through

I go blind, the only light I see is you

I promise to give you all you desire

Through the freezing wind and burning fire

I promise you to be there by your side

To your every command I'll abide

I promise you, my love for you shall never die

Since the true love will never lie

I Won't Find Another Like You

There is not a day that goes by

That I don't think of you and cry

With every breath that I take

Thought of you makes my heart ache

You entice me with your eyes

Loving you, I can't resist nor disguise

Your beauty is beyond compare

Clinging to my soul in despair

Your skin pure from head down to your feet

Glowing like a marble sheet

Your hair drapes over your face

With such beauty and grace

You smile with shining teeth

like the sunshine upon the heath

I'm always with you in my dreams

life without you is not what it seems

I come to declare my love to you

Hoping you'll feel the same too

I cannot give you the moon, nor the sea

But I'll always be there when you want me to be

I'll give you love and romance

If you just give me a chance

This is the only day I feel the sunshine

You took my breath away

I cannot help to notice you when you walk by

My jaw drops and I cannot believe my eye

The first time I saw you that day

You stood there, and took my breath away

You're beautiful beyond words can describe

I guess you must be from some angelic tribe

I'm sorry, but you left me with no choice

Coz, you blew me away with your beautiful voice

How can I resist it, when you smile like that

You even look wow, when you wear that silly hat

How can I not fall, when you let your hair down

Draping over your face, with glowing golden brown

I feel relieved, now that I've confessed

But I'm not crazy, nor I'm obsessed

So, please accept these words without much fuss

Or I'll throw myself under the next bus

Forgive me if this made you frown

I had to do this before you are gone

Please don't tell me off, and twist my arm

I am only being sincere, I mean no harm

Now you read this, forget me, and enjoy your wine

Please smile, and have a happy Valentine.

For the moments I shared with you

And for making my dreams come true

For the way you made me feel

And for making my broken heart to heal

I love you just the way you are

You lit my heart like the morning star

I'll give my life a miss

I knew it and didn't have to think twice

The moment I saw you on that show one Saturday

I did not exhale or blink for the rest of the day

You walked in like you owned the world

You sang and I listened to your every word

My heart was beating so fast and I fell on my back

I was one beat away from having a heart-attack

Then you smiled like sunshine on a spring day

It felt like a soothing breeze blowing my way

You are perfect from head to your toe

I love you more than you ever know

I couldn't wait, I had to get in touch

Just to tell you I loved you so much

I didn't know if you cared to reply

I checked my email every minute that went by

Then you replied, it was worth the wait

It must be a miracle, or was it just my fate

I had to share with you what I felt

Or my passion would burn me and I would slowly melt

I wish you success in what about to do

I Believe In You

I admit, I was naughty when I went on your site

But hey, who says that I don't have the right

I wasn't ready for what I was about to feel

I froze when I saw you, but my heart wouldn't keep still

I thought I was logged into Heavens, didn't believe my eye

I was mesmerized by your beauty, I am truly a lucky guy

You are so amazing, so gorgeous, from head to your toe

How can a girl be so perfect, I will never know

I thought I had it all, but now I feel so alone

I want to be with you, for me and you to be one

I'm jealous, coz the whole world can see you online

That's because I am selfish, I want you only to be mine

I'll pray hard, so maybe one day my dream will come true

You Are All I Ever Wanted

You changed my life the moment you walked through that door

As the time passed, I craved for you more and more

I'd never felt the way you made me feel

To go through this, I'll need nerves of steel

You took me to Heavens, then dropped me in Hell

Your eyes leave me senseless, with their magic spell

Every time I touch you, it's thunder under my skin

Your lips are so seductive to kiss them must be a sin

I melt every time you smile and I hear your voice

I fall in love every time, believe me I don't have a choice

I do not think my life will ever be same

For me loosing you would be the end of the game

It took me a life time to find you, I won't let you go

Promise you never leave me, and I promise to never say no

I promise your days will never be the same

I'll make them so special, you will give each one a name

You are all I want, the rest is yours

For every door you close, I'll open you new doors

Now I know that I was born to just make you smile

To be by your side every inch and every mile

I want you, I need you, and believe me I love you to death

I will give you all, the Sun, the Moon and the Earth

I cannot bear to see you with another man

I want to fly you away from them as far as I can

I know you deserve someone far better than me

But I am pleading and begging you on one knee

Then again it's the truth that I have to accept

You are just a dream, a promise that cannot be kept

If you choice to leave, then I cannot change your mind

My destiny is your hands, you can choose to leave me behind

But before you go, please make my dreams come true for just one day

For me a day can go a long long way

If you say no, you'll break my heart beyond repair

I need you to live, or I'll live my life in despair

All I ask is to let me love you, in my way, just for a day

And I'll make all your dreams come true, I will find a way

I will wait for ever for you to say Yes

I the ever never comes, then I will still love you no less.

For Your Birthday

You are an angel without the wing

I love to hear you talk and hear you sing

I love the way your hair drapes over your face

Waving in the wind with such beauty and grace

I love your smile and your beautiful eyes

And I love your honesty, an angel never lies

I want to make sure your smile will never fade

To make you happy is the reason I was made

Don't ask why do I do what I do

You put a spell on me, your are my voodoo

I wish I could walk with you every step of the way

To ensure your safety and happiness every day

But then reality is never what you want it to be

There is always questions, I can never be free

But thanks for birthdays so I have a reason to care

I get to spoil you as much as I want and I dare

So go crazy today, and don't listen to what anyone say
